Andrew Beshear: Governor of Kentucky
Education and Early Career
Born on November 29, 1977, Andrew Graham Beshear is an American attorney and politician. He earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. After graduating, Beshear worked as an assistant county attorney in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
Political Career
Beshear began his political career in 2013 when he was elected Attorney General of Kentucky. In this role, he served as the state's chief legal officer and advocated for consumer protection and public safety initiatives. In 2019, Beshear ran for Governor of Kentucky as a Democrat and won the election, becoming the 63rd governor of the state.
