WEB Roy Dale Cooper, born November 13, 1955, in Hobbs, New Mexico, was destined for greatness in the world of rodeo. Growing up on a ranch, he developed exceptional roping skills from a young age.

Rise to Stardom

In 1976, Cooper's talent shone brightly when he captured the Resistol Rookie of the Year Tie-Down Roping title. His exceptional ability earned him the nickname "Super Looper," and he went on to become an eight-time World Champion in Tie-Down Roping.

Legacy and Recognition

Cooper's dominance in the sport made him one of the most celebrated ropers of his time. In 2014, he was honored by the 702_Events and PRCA_ProRodeo with a special ceremony at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas to commemorate the event's 35th anniversary.
