Toni Kroos Returns to Germany International Duty After Retirement

Real Madrid and Germany Midfielder makes U-Turn

Toni Kroos has made a stunning U-turn on his international retirement, announcing his return to the Germany national team for Euro 2024.

The Real Madrid midfielder, who turns 35 in January, retired from international football after Germany's disappointing performance at the 2018 World Cup.

However, with Germany set to host Euro 2024, Kroos has decided to make himself available for selection once again.

"I've always said that I'm grateful for the time I had with the national team," Kroos said in a statement.

"I'm proud of what we achieved together, and I'm happy to be back."

Kroos is one of the most experienced players in the Germany squad, with over 100 caps to his name.

He will be hoping to help Germany win their first major international trophy since the 2014 World Cup.
