Teenage winger Lamine Yamal scored as Barcelona beat Real Sociedad 2-0 at the Olympic Stadium. The match was the last encounter of jornada number 35 of LaLiga EA Sports Xavi.

Barcelona took the lead in the 33rd minute when Yamal headed home a cross from Ansu Fati. The goal was Yamal's first for Barcelona since joining the club from Manchester City in the summer.

Barcelona doubled their lead in the 56th minute when Ousmane Dembélé scored a penalty. The penalty was awarded after Real Sociedad defender Robin Le Normand fouled Fati in the box.

Real Sociedad pushed for a goal in the second half, but they were unable to find the back of the net. Barcelona held on to secure the three points and move into second place in the LaLiga table.
